The above chart is based on the most recent data available from the World Bank representing the amount of money flowing in to countries, in descending order of the total amount.
Interestingly, India (with US$54 billion) and China (with US$51 billion) together account for US$100 billion in receipts. According to the World Bank, total remittance made the world over in 2010 was about US$445 billion. India and China received a whopping 25% of this amount in remittances.
